Fall Production Program

$480+HST

Young performers, ages 6-16, will participate in acting, movement, dance and vocal classes in preparation for a production of “High School Musical Jr.” at the Centennial Theatre in Whitby. This is an instructional program. Participants will be split into age appropriate groups. We will work on rotation each week so that all young performers experience training in all areas. Although we are always very excited to present our final showcase, we would remind parents that the focus of this program is on  the instruction itself. Everyone will have a role or be featured in some way in the final presentation regardless of previous experience. You do not need to audition to be in this program, but we will hold auditions for main roles (should your child be interested in one of those roles).Included in this program:
  • Quality triple threat instruction in a safe and inclusive environment alongside industry professionals
  • Behind the Scenes training, including set design, costume and make up workshops
  • Written feedback at the halfway point to update you on your child’s progress
  • Private and small group vocal coaching
  • An opportunity to perform on a stage in front of family and friends
  • A show t-shirt, headshot & pizza party!

*All classes on Sundays will take place in the theatre, music room and adjoining space at the Abilities Centre (55 Gordon St.) in Whitby.

Testimonials from Fall Program:

“Mike and I would like to personally thank you Toni, and your AMAZING team on the wonderful production of the Wizard of Oz.  Caitlin has always been a “performer” at home, but her experience over the past 10 weeks with all of you has funnelled her passion, and has introduced her to the art of performing. She has loved every single second with the Traveling Stage! As parents, we are so proud of what she has accomplished with you all. Thank you!!”
– Kathleen & Mike Kelly
“We just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work that you put into The Wizard of Oz production.  We only have rave reviews for your team and have only heard the same from family and friends.  This was definitely no standard public school performance but indeed was a real production.   The time you dedicated to this weekend’s performance did not go unnoticed.  My daughter was always smiling when she left her acting classes and would sing for hours after coming home. As a mom that’s all we really want,  to see our child happy and that she was.”
– Michelle Wright
“I wanted to say congratulations on a superb production of the Wizard of Oz!  I was truly amazed at how you and the rest of your crew pulled everything together in just 10 weeks and with 40+ kids.  We had friends and relatives attend the shows and they all thought it was fantastic. Aliya absolutely loved being a part of the production. This was her very first time on stage and your Sunday sessions really helped her gain confidence in her singing and her acting. She hopes to continue studying performing arts in high school and this opportunity confirmed her love and passion for the arts.  For that, thank you!  She is very sad to see that it is over but hopes to return in the near future. Again, thank you!  You helped make our little girl shine.”
– Mary Lynden
“I just wanted to send a huge Thank You! I am so happy Brooklyn attended this program. She has learned so much and it has been a wonderful experience for her! The show was quite impressive – so many talented young performers. You guys are amazing teachers!”
