The Travelling Stage After School Arts Academy
The Travelling Stage is a leading provider of After School Programs for Private Schools, Montessori Schools and Child Care Centres. Weekly, Bi-Weekly and Monthly Programs are available in YOUR space. The Travelling Stage can take care of all registration or it can be done through your school/centre. Programs are available for Toddlers, Pre-Casa, Casa and Elementary Children. All After School Programs are also available during school hours as part of curricular instruction.
Travelling Stage Extra-Curricular Dance Programs:
Creative Movement – This program guides little ones to use their bodies to interpret music, poetry, images and much more. Suitable for Toddlers, Pre Casa, Casa and Elementary.
Elementary Dance – Our After School Dance Program, led by fully certified dance teachers, leads students through the fundamentals of dance and movement in a fun and supportive environment. All After School Dance Programs work toward a recital, which will be presented for family and friends at the end of session.
Choose from: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro or International Styles
Travelling Stage Extra-Curricular Drama Programs:
Sunshine Drama – This unique program is perfect for little ones ages 18 months to 3 years. Each session is filled with exploration, imagination, songs, music, movement and role play. Suitable for Toddlers.
Drama Buds (Ages 4-5) – Using popular children’s literature, students will explore character, emotion and performance. Under the direction of a TS professional guest artist, students will work together to perform one of their most beloved stories on our final day of the session – quite possibly the most adorable thing you’ll ever see!
Theatre Basics (Ages 6-8) – This course helps students explore how to use their voice, body and emotion to bring a character to life. By the end of this course, students will have basic tools to help them lift a characte off the page and put it on the stage. Students will work toward a final class performance for parents, which will take place on the final day of the session.
Theatre Arts (Ages 9-12) – This course helps students explore how to use their voice, body and emotion to bring a character to life. By the end of this course, students will have basic tools to help them lift a character off the page and put it on the stage. Travelling Stage Extra Curricular Music Programs:
Choral Music Program – Participants will explore the elements of music, including melody, harmony, tempo, rhythm and dynamics through classical and contemporary music. We will work toward a showcase of songs, which will be presented for parents and friends at the end of session.
Glee Club – Participants will learn proper vocal technique, harmony and dynamics as they explore popular songs. They’ll also get to learn fun choreography when we put the song on its feet. We will work toward a Glee showcase, which will be presented for parents and friends at the end of session.
Travelling Stage Extra Curricular Yoga & Mindfulness Program:
Yoga & Mindfulness Program – This program introduces children to yoga and mindfulness in a safe and inclusive way. Students will learn introductory yoga poses and how to use their breath to find calm, peace and joy. All Yoga & Mindfulness After School Programs are led by certified Yoga instructors, who specialize in kids’ yoga. For more info: www.travellingyoga.ca
Travelling Stage Extra Curricular Creative Writing Program:
Creative Writing Program – This programs gives students the opportunity to work alongside an established creative writer to create their very own script. Suitable for Elementary Children.
