The Travelling Stage offers dynamic and inspiring dance, drama and yoga clubs at lunch, nutrition breaks or after school. A great way to get kids moving and staying connected! All clubs are led by certified teachers and industry professionals and include a final presentation for parents and a Certificate of Achievement. You supply the space and we take care of everything else, including registration, payments and supervision.
2017/2018 Club Programs
The Travelling Stage is proud to be the first in Ontario to offer an in school tap program. Students will learn basic tap steps and styles alongside professional tap dance instructors. Discounted tap shoes available.
Hip Hop & Street Funk
It’s hip, cool and everyone loves it! Students learn the latest hip-hop dance moves in this very popular program.
Students will explore singing, dancing and character development in this performance workshop. A wide variety of musicals are available to choose from.
Students will dance their way around the world as they sample dance styles from various cultures.
Students explore how to use their voice, body and emotion to bring a character to life. By the end of the session, students will have basic tools to help them lift a character off the page and put it on the stage.
Yoga is for EveryBODY
This workshop introduces students to the basics of yoga in a safe and inclusive way. Students will learn introductory yoga poses, learn how to use their breath to find calm and engage in kindness activities with classmates to create more understanding and compassion in the classroom.
This fun, active and spontaneous series utilizes improvisation exercises and theatre games to help students sharpen their ability to think quickly and work as a team. Students will gain confidence, take risks and tap into creative humour.
Limited only by their imaginations, students explore various ways to move their bodies through space and time. Based on the Laban Technique, this series guides students to use their bodies to interpret music, poetry, images and much more.
